Dominique and Claude, soon-to-be unemployed, decide to buy a funfair business from the Marcus family, determined to earn a living and carry on this tradition. With very little knowledge but huge enthusiasm, they set off on a journey with their trailer and a few other bits and bobs. Real circus acts ensue, with spectacular escapes and knife throwing. With their never-ending clumsiness and tenderness, Domi and Claude invent a new form of the traditional carnie spiel.
