Two bearded giants with childlike manners, a lanky king, an airborne clown, an innocent photographer and a fearless beauty. Les Galapiats are six characters who live as a troupe, all for one, and want to share the circus with everybody. Well before they were bona fide artists, each of them must have been the type of kid who replies to any challenge thrown at them: ‘You’re on!". This show, their first production, takes all the risks, head-on, with humour and talent. Somewhere between the light-hearted games of childhood and the real risks of circus is hiding the poetry of this band of people. Their togetherness on stage is indicative of their wish to live a utopia: a world so brotherly everyone is supported in their decisions to take risks. This is a ‘young’ show in the best sense of the word: energetic, skilful, light, and generous.
