Having toured the world with the legendary Circus Baobab, Wali Sory Diabaté moved to Lyon 10 years ago, where he continues to explore all types of percussion instruments. Descended from a long line of Guinean storytellers, musicians, and artists, he has music in his genes and excels at the balafon as well as the djembe. He works closely with the Centre AfroMundo, where he plays percussion to accompany dancers. He also founded the Conakry Festival, which highlights Guinean culture.
