This show is presented as part of the MOI of dance
The body inhabited, possessed. Hadra Yassine Youness, the new piece by Alexandre Roccoli, wakes the body and plunges us into a dance of possession where the gnaoua brotherhoods and hip-hop culture meet. This duet, imagined for and by the brothers Youness and Yassine Aboulakoul, transports us with its ritual, hypnotic and healing dance. Accompanied by electronic music that is both traditional and contemporary, the repetitive movements create a choreographic trance. Hadra builds bridges between past and present, between ancestral rituals and contemporary dance, where virtuoso and magnetic movements stir a desire to dance.
