Biographie
Maureen Béguin – Morin (she/they) performe des fictions où le corps comme la technologie seraient en proie au même problème: la surchauffe liée au réchauffement climatique. Artiste plasticienne et performeuse, franco-irlandaise, elle browse et récolte des données spatiales et virtuelles afin de proposer des performances in situ transdisciplinaires.
Browsing — C’est ainsi qu’elle nomme sa pratique protéiforme, qui mélange travail de corps performance, vidéo, scénographies, 3D et transes sur les réseaux internet. Elle se balade entre les monde(s) réel(s) et numériques : traverse des onglets et des fenêtres virtuelles qu’elle connecte à ses muscles et à sa parole dans des galeries d’art contemporain, des théâtres et des lieux non institutionnels pour y transmettre des histoires.
Maureen Béguin – Morin (she/they) performs fictions in which the body, like technology, would be prey to the same problem: overheating linked to global warming. A visual artist and performer, Franco-Irish, she browses and harvests spatial and virtual data in order to offer transdisciplinary in situ performances.
Browsing — this is how she names her protean practice, which mixes body work, performance, video, scenography, 3D and trances on the internet’s networks. She wanders between real and digital world(s): she crosses tabs and virtual windows that she connects to her muscles and her speech, in contemporary art galleries, theatres and non-institutional venues, in order to pass on stories.
