Biographie
Anna Tierney (1999) est danseuse, performeuse et chorégraphe. Après une enfance dans les Hautes Pyrénées où elle découvre la danse et le théâtre, elle se forme au Conservatoire Royal d’Anvers (BE) dont elle sort diplômée en 2022. Depuis, en tant qu’interprète, elle collabore régulièrement avec Florentina Holzinger, Leïla Ka ou encore Justine Berthillot. Elle travaille actuellement sur sa première pièce, Grand Repos, dont la première est prévue en novembre 2027.
Anna Tierney (1999) is a dancer, performer and choreographer. She grew up in the South of France where she discovered dance and theater. She then moved to Belgium to study contemporary dance at the Royal Conservatorium of Antwerp and graduated in 2022. Since then, as a performer, she regularly collaborates with Florentina Holzinger, Leïla Ka and Justine Berthillot, amongst others. She is currently creating her first solo, Grand Repos, which will premiere in November 2027.
Grand Repos explore le genre de la quête initiatique à travers un monologue à la narration fragmentée. La pièce entraine le public dans l’esprit d’une adolescente et traverse avec elle le cheminement vers une obsession et une quête de contrôle du corps. Le solo se construit comme un conte contemporain, où la figure littéraire de la jeune fille devient un outil de réécriture des représentations. Grand Repos rend hommage aux histoires que l’on se raconte, et donne une place aux images du passé qui hantent et façonnent nos identités.
Grand Repos explores the coming-of-age genre through a fragmented monologue. The piece immerses the audience in the thoughts of a teenage girl, following her journey toward an obsession and a quest for control over her body. The solo unfolds as a contemporary tale, in which the literary figure of the young girl becomes a tool for rewriting representations and narratives. Grand Repos pays tribute to the stories we tell ourselves, while giving space to the images of the past that haunt us and shape our identities.
