    Gandini Juggling / Smashed
DANCE/THEATRE/JUGGLING
AGE 6 AND UP

So British! A piece in homage to Pina Bausch orchestrated by nine, slightly crazy English jugglers. Smashed fits somewhere between theatre and juggling, humour and reference.
Created for the London National Theatre, this piece is on its way to a global tour. Sean Gandini and his group are elegant rogues, who with the help of about 100 apples and a few chairs, go much further than technical prowess: they dance as much as they juggle, making sly references to the great Pina. Even if you don’t get the references, you’ll enjoy the adventure and its frenetic finale.

“Some sublime minutes of Bauschian tanzjonglage (their word, a good one)’’ Rachel Clare, Crying Out Loud blog, 2010
