Conception Tino Sehgal

From 2 to 4 February 2017 at 20:00

(sans titre) (2000) is a landmark piece. It was created and danced sixteen years ago by Tino Sehgal. The piece puts 20th-century “theatrical dance” on exhibit, putting choreographic practices and the views of the body associated with them into an aesthetic order much like a museum’s. Tino Sehgal is a major artist who moved from dance to the visual arts. Last Fall, after his numerous exhibitions and performances in Venice, London, and New York, he was the subject of a retrospective at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. Boris Charmatz, one of the choreographers who will be a guest speaker at MOI de la Danse, will be one of the dancers in this piece, along with Frank Willens.
