Groupe nuits / Astrid Mayer & Raphaël Billet

Brut. Performance monumentale

Circus / Dance / Live Music

This monumental performance will be presented as part of the festival Livraisons d’été.

BRUT. is:
Construction, by a group.
Group dynamics,
A collective adventure.
A project with almost nothing, just wood,
sound, and a taste for games.

A combination of dance, circus, music, architecture and visual arts, Brut. brings together three artists involved in building a monument. A structure in the heart of the city-as-life that raises questions about intangible, sometimes antagonistic, deeply human connections.

La compagnie groupe nuits

Created collectively, groupe nuits aims to bring together varying numbers of artists from different disciplines so they can work and write pieces together. Creation is a collective activity for the group: interaction and involvement are fundamental to its artistic approach.

Several people share the task of writing each project, and each project is conceived of with different artists and performed with many partners.

Groupe nuits devises choreographic adventures that involve humans, relationships, otherness, and play in an attempt to find a new stage language.

Each project examines the artistic fields and choreographic situations that underlie dramaturgy: the specific spaces and formats.
