Alexis Forestier
Theatre-Music
Ongoing project / Fri 19 Oct 07 at 7pm
Following Inferno Party, presented at the Avignon Festival, Alexis Forestier, Cécile Saint-Paul and Les Endimanchés carry on their trilogy. In their own “deconstructive” and musical way, they call on Dante, Kafka, the story of rock ’n’ roll and theatre. Their objective is to create, by June 2009, a Purgatory and a Paradise by experimenting with texts, musical instruments and sound sources. At Les Subsistances, they had already created Sunday Clothes (ritournelles) two years ago.

Circus-vertical rope/ Winners Best Circus Budding Talent 2006.Ongoing project as part of the creative/recreational visit / Sat 20 Oct 07 at 4pm
A couple who transform duality into poetic argumentation. Through a beautiful research centred on the rope and music, they play on the concepts of confrontation and closeness, noise and silence, anger and softness. A project beyond the usual realm of the circus, focused on the dynamics of the male/female relationship.

A pair of gypsies and eccentric smooth talkers update the old acts from the days of the travelling circus: sword or umbrella-swallowers, knife and axe throwers, strongmen, etc. Following their participation to the Ça Compte! WeekEnd in March 2006, they are now starting on a new production with completion planned for 2008 (first performances at Bonlieu Scène Nationale in Annecy). The man is on his new “motorised horse”, the girl on her old horse cart, rusted from the rain and burnt by the sun...

« Grammaire des oncles et apprentissage du silence »
... (Les préoccupation d'un) ornithophoniste* (Temporary title)
Theatre of objects
Ongoing project / Tue 12 Feb 08 at 7:30pm
“In order to develop a project around languages when one practices an almost silent theatre based on images... We’ve quickly started to discuss grammar, conjugations, language learning methods, and this little French grammar book called the “bled**”... I then thought about pursuing my autobiographical adventure in the Moselle region, in a sort of grammar of uncles, like a return to the ‘bled’.” Michel Laubu.
First production Ça Tchatche Week_End April 08
*ornithophoniste [pun on ‘orthophoniste’ (speech therapist) and ornithologist]: profession which has for objective to keep on the tip of your tongue a whole bunch of bird names that you can pronounce and articulate quickly and without stuttering.” (The French expression “noms d’oiseaux” (“bird names”) used here is a double entendre, in both a literal meaning linked to the ornithologist and in its figurative sense of “name calling”.)
** “Bled” is both a little grammar book often used in French schools and the Arabic word for “home” commonly used in French by North African immigrants to talk about their homeland - allowing Laubu to merge his two fields of interest, autobiography and grammar.
