A place to share with the public
Les Subsistances are an international, transdisciplinary laboratory for artistic creation dedicated to the new languages of the performing arts (dance, theatre, circus, etc.). We give artists a place to work, create, experiment, and dialogue with the public.
WE OFFER ARTISTS SPACE AND TIME AS RESIDENTS,
as well as intellectual, administrative, technical and financial assistance adapted to each project. Les Subsistances develop a mentoring relationship with the artists and companies we invite, providing support not only to present the performance, but also to disseminate it.
From the “Mode d’emploi” to the “MOI de la danse” and the “Livraisons d’été”, Les Subsistances invent remarkable artistic projects and constantly refreshes them. It’s our way of responding, with the artists, to an ever-changing world.
WE OFFER THE PUBLIC A PLACE AND THE TIME TO PARTICIPATE
Les Subsistances are developing a new relationship with the public. We foster confrontation, reflection, artistic practice, and dialogue. We are inventing new ways to meet, making the public a partner in each stage of creation: creative construction sites, discussions, participatory projects, creative Week_Ends, and artistic workshops.
