Les Subsistances, laboratoire de création artistique, spectacle et théatre à Lyon
Saison 2007/2008

Secondary Schools:
Discover, create and share!

Our partnership with the St Exupery High School is an example of what you can be done over a year with different classes.
For three years now, the lower sixth form students of PAC (Projet Artistique et Culturel / Artistic and Cultural Project) offering theatre, music, dance and visual arts modules have spent a week in residence. Events include: a tour of several cultural venues, practice workshops, meetings and rehearsals with artists.
During the season, the upper sixth form theatre class has been able to use the amateur practice stage one morning or afternoon per week for a workshop with Éric Massé, an artist in residence. A joint workshop base on the works of Raymond Federman and Marivaux has been organised with the students of the IUFM, resulting in a show performed at Les Subsistances.
All schools enjoy concessions and the possibility to buy tickets with their “Carte M’RA”. Outside of the shows themselves, events are free of charge!
Encourage students to open their minds to contemporary productions, to understand work processes preceding any show or to examine more closely something that was discussed in class, many things are important for schools. We offer the right tools to organise in partnership with you ambitious and original projects.

QUOTATION…
“We ended our week in residence with little presentations all over the site. It was great to be able to show things at Les Subsistances, it’s a magnificent place. It was a beautiful way to finish there and we were all very emotional when we had to leave Les Subsistances.”  Chloé, student.
